It is important not to bring valuable items to the hospital. If, during your stay, you happen to have something valuable with you, you can ask your care team to safely store your valuable items.

Similar to daily life, you are personally responsible for taking care of your belongings (e.g., if you lose your ring, bag, etc.). However, if you lose something valuable and suspect that a hospital staff member may be responsible, be sure to inform someone from your department's care team. An internal liability notification form will be completed in such cases, and each report is individually reviewed from a legal perspective.

If you have lost something at the reception, in the elevators, in a waiting room, etc., make sure to visit the reception as they are often the first point of contact when items are found. With a bit of luck, they may be able to return the found item to you.
