Relaxed visitation schedule because of COVID-19
As of February 8, we are relaxing the visitation rules, so you will be able to visit family, friends and acquaintances again. Of course, the safety of our patients, visitors and staff remains paramount.
As of February 8, 2022, the following visiting rules apply at our inpatient wards:
Patients can receive visitors between 2 PM and 7:30 PM.
During these visiting hours, one visitor is allowed for one hourto visit the patient (max. one visitor per day)
However, some exceptions apply:
- No visits will be possible at the COVID-19 wards.
- At the ICU between 2:30 PM and 3 PM and between 7 PM and 7:30 PM one person is allowed to visit for thirty minutes.
- At the maternity ward, the partner is always allowed to visit.
- At the paediatrics ward, parents are always allowed to visit.
- At the palliative unit, patients are allowed to receive visitors.
- At the PAAZ (Psychiatric ward), visits are possible between 6 PM and 8 PM (on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays between 2 PM and 8 PM).
Visitors should wear their own clean disposable mask, if they are over the age of 6. The patient is also required to wear a face mask during the visit.
What about people accompanying outpatients?
In order to limit the number of people in our waiting rooms and ensure social distancing it is not allowed to escort outpatients. Patients should come alone. So make sure you have someone to take care of your children.
One person is allowed to accompany the patient, but only only in the following cases:
- Children under the age of 18
- In case of physical impairments ( wheelchair, etc.) of the patient
- In case of mental impairments ( dementia, etc.) of the patient
- Because of language problems of the patient
- During gynaecological consultation of pregnant women, the partner is always allowed to be present.
- In case of day clinic visits to the paediatrics ward
- At the oncology department, only at the request of the patient by calling ahead and subject to approval from the oncology department.
Points to consider when entering the hospital :
- Surgical face masks are mandatory in the hospital and in the patient room and they should be worn throughout the visit, by both the patient and the visitor. This applies tovisitors and persons accompanying patients who have a Covid Safe Ticket.
- Children over the age of 6 are required to wear a face mask.
- Disinfect your hands when entering and leaving the hospital and before and after visiting in the patient room.
- Leave the window of the room ajar to ensure ventilation. Leave the door open.
- Avoid physical contact and always keep a safe distance of at least 1.5 meters with patients, visitors and staff.
- Stay in the patient's room during visiting hours. Visitors are not allowed in other areas of the ward or hospital.
- After your visit, leave the hospital as soon as possible.
If you are infected with the corona virus or if you have a cold or flu-like symptoms and/or if you came in contact with a COVID-19 patient, do not come to visit (even if you are fully vaccinated).
If COVID-19 is suspected, no visits will be allowed pending the test result.
We value the safe care of our patients, staff and visitors and so we will follow the latest government guidelines regarding COVID-19.

Tout doucement nous voyons une baisse des taux d'infection covid19. C'est pourquoi nous aimerions vous apporter de bonnes nouvelles. Vous pouvez à nouveau rendre visite à votre famille, vos amis et vos connaissances en toute sécurité. Parce que notre arrangement de visite a été assoupli!
Concrètement, les horaires de visite s'appliquent en chambre individuelle et en chambre multiple entre 14h et 19h30.
Pendant ces heures de visite, un seul visiteur peut rendre visite au patient pendant une heure (max. un visiteur par jour).
Les visiteurs doivent porter leur masque jetable propre, à partir de 10 ans. Le patient porte également un masque buccal lors de la visite.
Cependant, il y a certaines exceptions:
Aucun visiteur n'est autorisé dans les départements covid-19.
Aux soins intensifs, une personne est autorisée à visiter pendant trente minutes entre 14h30 et 15h et entre 19h et 19h30.
A la maternité, le partenaire peut visiter en permanence.
En pédiatrie, les parents sont autorisés à visiter en permanence.
Les patients peuvent recevoir des visiteurs en soins palliatifs.
Les visites sont possibles au PAAZ entre 18h et 20h (samedi, dimanche et jours fériés entre 14h et 20h).
Les visiteurs doivent porter leur masque jetable propre, à partir de 10 ans. Le patient porte également un masque buccal lors de la visite.

Slowly but surely the covid19 infection rates are declining. That is why we like to bring you following good news. You can visit family, friends and acquaintances safely again. Because our visiting arrangement has been altered!
